Lost City Music Vol 1 by Dave Fuglewicz & Pete Painful (aka Pete Comely) was released in January, 2002. It was the culmination of nearly three years of work between Pete and myself. We dedicated ourselves to attaining perfection with this release and I believe we had reached that goal. I consider this and Lost City Music Vol 2 to be among my best work, solo or in collaboration. Pete sent me a CD of source music in April of 1999. I used those sounds as a basis for Sub-Concia Boulevard, Library Of Ruin and Last Gathering. In April of 1999 I sent Pete a CD of sounds which he used as a basis for The Dead Sea. We would mail and email many times with thoughts, suggestions and inspirations. My instruments at this time were ARP 2600, ARP Odyssey, ARP Sequencer, Roland TR-707 Drum machine, modified Casio keyboard, Digitech 7.6 Delay, several effects "stomp" boxes and some home made synthesizer modules. Pete's instruments were Casio SK1, bass guitar, ocean field recordings, Theremin, turntable, digital sample manipulations, editing, processing and mixing.
